Coals To Newcastle? No, Pixies To England
When I go back to England, it's always fun, if time allows, to take along handmade gifts for friends I'm meeting up with.

And Tatty Said 'Thank You'
Looking back at a 2013 make and Thatcher, Tatty to her friends, wanted to say 'thank you' to her doggie minder and groomer Vicki.
I found this dog fabric and knew with a little bit of fussy cutting it would be just perfect for a cushion.
even better that it has this black and white Havanese just like Tatty sitting up front in the doggie lineup.
I moved the doggie bones around to create top and bottom borders
and there's another line of bones hiding alongside the zipper under the collars and leads.
My mbCD label of course!
Lol, Tatty's embarrassed to remember how she looked when she was growing out her fringe!
If you'd like to know how I make these cushions click through to my free Quilted Pillow Cushion With Hidden Zipper tute.

Christmas Gifts Now and Then
Last Christmas I made this cosmetic bag and tissue case gift for my therapist, Pam, I loved it so much I made an identical set for myself.
Not normally a lover of yellow but these huge pink and purple flowers and bright green leaves make me very happy every day. The laminate is Garden Party by Philip Jacobs but I've no idea what the pink polka dot lining is, I bought a fat quarter of it years ago at Lexi Loves in Cirencester, England back when I took a lot of classes at New Brewery Arts.
This year I trimmed some towels for Pam, white's always a safe bet and to keep them neutral I've added a design from Lotta Jansdotter's Glimma collection for Windham Fabrics.
I've held off making myself a matching set of the towels but as you can see they'd look great in my bathroom too!!!
