I'm super excited to share my brand new venture with you today, I've been working on it for several months, and it's been hard to keep it to myself.
Disclosure:
Susan Sato @EasyPiecing purchases patterns directly from me, and no further payments or commission are received by me for click-throughs or purchases from the Easy Piecing website.
I'm delighted to share my first pattern for purchase.
HARLEQUIN QUILT PATTERN
As well as all the info you need to make the Harlequin Quilt, the 8-page pattern includes tips and care/cleaning instructions for Dupioni silk and is for sale directly from me, as detailed in my update below.
Update on 28 January 2022
Bluprint has closed. At present, I don't have another outlet for selling my patterns. If you'd like to purchase a pattern, you can email me and purchase it directly from me via Paypal - my email address is available in the right-hand sidebar of my blog.

I designed the wall hanging at the request of my friend Susan Sato, owner of Easy Piecing.
and that leads me on to the second part of my new venture.
The Harlequin Quilt Pattern is also available as part of this kit at the Easy Piecing website and on the road at the Easy Piecing vending booth.
The kit includes a paper copy of the Harlequin Quilt Pattern, pre-cut and interfaced Dupioni silk diamonds + binding and is currently priced at $44.95.
This weekend, the kit will also be available at the Easy Piecing vending booth for the first time at the Mid-Atlantic Quilt Festival in Hampton, VA (Booth #224) and again, 2-5 March, at the Quilt & Sewing Fest of New Jersey, Somerset, NJ (Booth #109). You can click through to Susan's website to see her complete list of vending gigs for 2017.
Hanging horizontally or vertically, the Harlequin Quilt design, measuring approx 22" x 19-1/2", is simple yet stunning, allowing the fabric to speak for itself - and these jewel-tone luxurious Dupioni silks certainly do that.
Of course, as a wall hanging, the pattern can be made using most fabric types: quilting weight cotton, home decor weight and more and it makes quite a statement simply pieced or used as a backdrop for further embroidery, handwork or embellishment.
Working with fabrics more suited to heat and washing than Dupioni silk, you could also use it as a table topper. Instead of batting, create your sandwich with The Warm Company's Insul-Bright metallised polyester 'batting' that reflects heat back to its source.
Busily making another fabric version of the Harlequin Quilt Pattern, I'm considering making this one into a padded notice board for my sewing studio. Have to see how I feel when the quilt top is made, I'm practically drooling over the fabrics, so there's still a chance I'll keep it as a wall hanging. Naturally, I'll share photos when it's done.
FREE TUTES
As promised in the pattern, I include free online tutes to help you complete the pattern.
The first is this brand new tute - Piecing Diamonds + Joining Diamond Rows,
and the second is my 1/4" Single-Fold Binding tute.
