Christmas Gifts Now and Then

Last Christmas I made this cosmetic bag and tissue case gift for my therapist, Pam, I loved it so much I made an identical set for myself.

Not normally a lover of yellow but these huge pink and purple flowers and bright green leaves make me very happy every day.  The laminate is Garden Party by Philip Jacobs but I've no idea what the pink polka dot lining is, I bought a fat quarter of it years ago at Lexi Loves in Cirencester, England back when I took a lot of classes at New Brewery Arts.

This year I trimmed some towels for Pam, white's always a safe bet and to keep them neutral I've added a design from Lotta Jansdotter's Glimma collection for Windham Fabrics.

I've held off making myself a matching set of the towels but as you can see they'd look great in my bathroom too!!!

  7. I love the print on your little pouch and don't blame you for making one for yourself. I would, too :) The towels are really pretty, too! My step-brother is getting married this spring, and this would be a great idea for a shower gift.

  8. Love the trim on the towels, Chris!!! I have never thought of doing this, but it would be so easy and much nicer than giving plain towels. Another item added to this year's Christmas gift list.
