A New Laptop Case For Moriarty

Flicky flies back to Scotland on Friday to start her fourth and final year at The University of St Andrews.

Those who have been following my blog since I started writing it four and a half years ago will no doubt be wondering just as I am, where did the time go?

I snapped this pic of her when we were having coffee earlier this week - it goes without saying that I will miss her terribly.

Before she went to uni, Flicky was a regular model of my wares on the blog and together we followed her uni application, graduation, prom and move to St Andrews.  If you fancy catching up, all the posts are detailed in my blog's right-hand sidebar under Fab People & Places or you can quickly click through here.

We've also seen how Flicky likes to take sewn items with her, but over the last few years she's taken the reins in making these herself and this week she made a new laptop case for the dreaded Moriarty - for Moriarty's background story click here ;D.

She followed my zippy pouch tute (without using selvedges!) and added a front zipped pencil pocket.

From experience, Flicky now makes her laptop case large enough to carry her notepads and books too and she'll be able to slip her phone and cash in the front pocket so she doesn't need to carry a bag to lectures.

This year will fly by and I know Flicky will be sad to leave St Andrews but who knows what her next adventure will be?  What I'd give to be her age and do the last 30 years again!!! :D

  1. Like mother like daughter. An awesome laptop bag and a great idea to add the extra pocket to the front of the laptop bag.

  3. Such a wonderful experience for your daughter, as you say the first of many adventures. My friend attended St Andrew's and I have fond memories of visiting her and having lovely beach walks etc.
I am on the West Coast of Scotland, in Ayr.
