Burrito Pillowcase Tute
Today I'm guest posting over at Fort Worth Fabric Studio {Blog} and I've put together a tute for them showing the Burrito Pillowcase Method.
Fort Worth Studio Fabrics provided me with the fabric for my samples and I chose this gooooorgeous Skopelos collection by Katerina Roccella for Art Gallery Fabrics available here at Fort Worth Fabric Studio:
If you haven't made Burrito Pillowcases before they're incredibly easy and look really impressive, here's some extra photos I took of my finished pillowcases and some detail shots.
The fabric design folds back inside the cuff for a perfect finish and I show you how to sew French seams so there's no visible raw seams
In my tute you have the option to add a decorative or top stitch to the folded accent though I haven't added one myself in these samples.
I give quantities for one pillowcase or to make a two pillowcase set alternating the main and cuff fabrics as I have.
What a perfect gift.
Regular readers will know already exactly what I did with my left-over scraps - I made a Pencil Case Book Cover; you can read more about it here. Follow my blog today and you'll be one of the first to have the tute for a pencil case book cover when I release it later this year. Please be patient though as I'm about to go travelling again for most of October and November so it's likely to be nearer to Christmas when I get around to writing the tute.
If you'd like to make your own Burrito Pillowcases follow this link over to the Fort Worth Fabric Studio {Blog} and if you do make some please share your photos with me on my Facebook page or Instagram using the #madebyChrissieD hashtag or add them to my made by ChrissieD & me Flickr group or you can email them to me and I'll share them on your behalf.

Back in August my What's A Selvedge? blog post caught the eye of Jodie and Lyndsey over at Fort Worth Fabric Studio and they asked if they could share my post with readers of their own Fort Worth Fabric Studio {Blog}.
I was happy to oblige so do pop over to their blog today and take a look at my post and at all the wonderful fabric they sell too.
