Winter: Mini-Quilt Swaps
At our December NYC Metro Modern Quilters Guild meeting members will be anonymously swapping Winter themed mini-quilts.

On top of a Michael Miller Cotton Couture white solid I've appliqued some metallic winter print cottons as well as including pieces of hand-painted and tie-dyed fabrics that I made years ago when I was studying textiles alongside some gorgeous metallic silver/gold silk chiffon.

It's so exciting
- I wonder who'll be taking my mini-quilt home with them on the 3rd and
- I wonder who's mini-quilt I'll pick from the grab bag?

Not long to wait now.

Update at 7 December 2016
Just look at the fab Mini-Quilts made by everyone taking part in the swap.

And when the swag bag swap was done only two members did a direct swap with each other - guess who?!!!

And I'm in love with the mini-quilt Jean's made, It's called 'The December Night Sky' and is hanging proudly on my kitchen wall 😆

  2. They are all stunning, mini works of art. I was thinking hummm not very anonymous if people can see it here but then I saw you put your name on the back anyway! I guess just anonymous until it's unwrapped, then it's fun to know who made what. Thanks for sharing at #HandmadeMonday

  3. Your quilt is beautiful, and I also wanted to comment on your Dresden quilting. But it says I can't. Never seen so many comments on a post. I love the fabrics you have used. I made one once for a cushion and remember finding getting the angles right a problem.
