12 Days Of Christmas In July

Welcome to my turn on the

12 Days of Christmas in July Blog Hop 2016

The hop has been organised by Sarah Craig @Confessions Of A Fabric Addict and involves 25 bloggers, each sharing Christmas gift tutorials over 12 days.  Today is Day 2, and I'm sharing my How To Make Selvedge & Fabric Christmas Cards tute with you.

Here are samples of the cards you can make using my technique.

Quick, easy, a great way to use scrap fabric, get crafty and be original.  If you'd like to find out how to make them, you can click through to my tutorial here.

Our host, Sarah, will be leading a daily Christmas quilt top quilt along throughout the blog hop.  She promises that with just one hour's sewing a day for the 12 days, you can make this festive quilt top that she's designed.  If you'd like to join in making the quilt top, here's the link to the first daily post to make the top - Day 1.

Also posting today is Yanicka @Finding Myself As An Artist, and she's sharing a stunning red and white quilt she's made using a knitting pattern as both her inspiration and quilt pattern.

I've created a Pinterest board for all the tutes from the Blog Hop - you can follow it here.

For other Christmas gift ideas, look no further than my 2015 blog post 11 Christmas Gift Tutes For Last Minute Hand Makes.

  21. I just came upon your blog Chris, following you now, and what beautiful Christmas tree cards. I love that idea and will definitely give it a try. I must tell you, when I first logged onto your blog, I had to look twice. You and I look similar, of course you are younger than I am, but the resemblance is striking. Perhaps once I post this, my pic with my family at a picnic table will come up and perhaps you can see it there. If not, I'll have to send you a few pics. Thank you for your tutorial.
