Hot Off The Press: New Classes Scheduled!

I have some hot off the press news to share, it's about Gotham Quilts, the new quilt/fabric studio in Manhattan.

Regular readers will remember I've mentioned the studio before and here again is a bit of background info.
I've been friends with co-owners Andrea and Ivete since I moved to America almost five years ago now and I've enjoyed watching their progress in setting up Gotham Quilts first as an online store (it was fun to test the website for them before they officially opened) and then seeing them grow the business to a studio in Manhattan.

And here's the news ... I'm super excited to tell you that Andrea and Ivete have asked me to join them teaching at the studio.  We've agreed two dates for starters:

Social Sewing, Gotham Quilts, Manhattan
6 pm to 10 pm - $49/session
"GQ's Social Sewing classes are a great time to get some work done on your current project, and have a great time while you're doing it.  Bounce ideas off your fellow classmates or take inspiration from the projects around you.  You'll have access to GQ's sewing machines, design wall, cutting mats, irons and of course, a knowledgeable teacher.  Feel free to bring snacks, drinks and/or friends!"

Click date links above or email Gotham Quilts to register us@gothamquilts.com
There're lots of other classes on offer too, you can see the full schedule here.

Here's a link to my previous post about a visit to the studio with photos of the sewing machines, sewing tables, etc, pretty much everything you could want to know about the sewing space and the fabric ranges they carry.

It's a great location a few minutes from Macy's - Google maps says it's six minutes but obviously Google's never walked with a quilter on a fabric mission cos I can walk it quicker than that!
