A Perfect Paper Pieced Valentine Heart

A few weeks ago Juliet of Tartankiwi put out another call for testers for a fab new Foundation Paper Pieced block 'Concentric Heart Pattern'.  Of course, I jumped straight in and today she made the pattern available to everyone.

Here's my version of the block

I've used Philip Jacobs Iris and Peony for the centre of the heart and a contrasting turquoise solid as an outline and then I pulled a selection of pink/peach/red/purple solids from my stash to finish the block.

As always the pattern was a cinch to make thanks to Juliet's great piecing design.
I'm yet to decide on a final piece to include the block in but I'll be sure to share it with you when it's done!

I'm sure this will be a very popular Valentine project.

You can get hold of the pattern for yourself here on Juliet's blog and be sure to take a look at the great interpretations Juliet's posted by the other two pattern testers, Angela @Sewing With Squeak and Carin @Ullharvan

    1. You know I love Kaffe Fassett too (Skill Builder backing is a bit of a give away!), thought I'd add a print to this paper piecing as the others I've done for Juliet have been pure solids :)
