  1. Chrissie, these pics need NO words! Awesome mosaic, thanks so much for taking the time and putting it together. You make me wanna go to London! :) Wenlocks are so cute, I love that they made different "themes" with them :)) Are you back already?

    1. Yes, just back with eldest son in tow for a month, which is fab We took photos of all the Wenlocks and Mandevilles that we saw - there's 84 in total which appeared overnight last week around London especially for the Olympics. I think they're really great so I looked into why they're called Wenlock and Mandeville and found the following info from the BBC:

Wenlock’s name is inspired by Much Wenlock in Shropshire, England, where the Wenlock Olympian Society held its first Olympian Games in 1850, regarded as an inspiration for the modern Olympic games.

Mandeville's name comes from the Stoke Mandeville Hospital in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, England which organised the Stoke Mandeville Games in 1948, a competition for injured soldiers; they are regarded as the inspiration for the Paralympics.

  2. Wow, thanks for the history! :) I'm glad you're back!

I love to hear from everyone, thank you for taking the time to read my blog and share your thoughts. Please leave a message to let me know you visited, it's a great way to get to know you all better too :)
