Joining diamonds isn't as straight forward as joining squares.  It sure looks like it should be easy, those straight lines and angled corners line up perfectly ready to sew a 1/4" seam but that's not the case at all.  Let me show you what happens when you sew them together this way and then I'll show you how to line them up so they DO join perfectly.
